Google Drive has received an update today that allows all users to further control their shared documents. The cloud service now lets you disable downloading, printing, and copying of files.

The new functionality can be accessed from the advanced sharing menu (see image above) – open the sharing window from any Google Drive file (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drawings, Form) and click on Advanced in the lower right hand corner. Files for which this feature has been enabled will show an “Export option disabled” notification in the File and Edit menus (see image below).
